Get to Know Your Telehealth Benefits

Telehealth, or virtual care, allows you to interact with a doctor, nurse or therapist by phone or video. You don’t even have to leave the comfort and safety of your home for many healthcare services.

Many people started using telehealth services during the coronavirus outbreak to help limit possible exposure and spread.

Use your telehealth benefit for non-emergency care from in-network providers. All you need is your home phone, or use your laptop, tablet or smartphone to connect for a video call.

  • Virtual Visits with a Doctor: Keep your scheduled appointments without the risk of waiting rooms and office contact. Ask your provider if he/she offers telehealth services. Many providers offer this service directly. If so, your provider will give you all the information you need to get started.
  • Register for Teladoc! This telehealth service is included with your plan. If you need to speak with a doctor now, Teladoc can connect you in minutes. You can also make an appointment with a licensed therapist. To preregister for your Teladoc services, please visit:

Visit the Teladoc website

You may also access Teladoc services on the mobile app: download the Teladoc Mobile app, available in the App Store or Google Play.

By phone: call 1-800-TELADOC (835-2362) (TTY: 711)

Other providers are available in our network.

  • Speak to a Nurse 24/7: Get answers to your health questions and find out if you need to see a doctor or urgent care center. Any time, day or night by calling Member Services and requesting a transfer to the Nurse Advice Line.

Telehealth services with in-network providers work just like face-to-face in office appointments. Plan copays, coinsurance, deductible costs, and priorauthorization may apply. Prior authorizations are not required for covered telehealth services from the Nurse Advice Line or Teledoc. Check out your Summary of Benefits.
